Factors affecting IBPS Clerk Cutoff
- Corrected Score
After the candidates have appeared for the common written exam. The scoring is done by the automated mechanism. Every write answer is awarded 1 mark and for every wrong answer 0.25 marks are reduced.
This evaluation mechanism applies to each section of IBPS written exam
This score is calculated on the basis of difficulty level of all the sections. As this exam takes place in different sessions (days and time). Difficulty level varies for different sessions.
3-Final Standardized Score
By taking mean and standard deviation of the equated score, final standardized score is obtained.
Categorization of Cutoffs
For example: Cutoff released for reasoning prelims section is 8. So for qualifying in Mains a candidate needs to score at least 8 marks in reasoning
For example: Cutoff released is say 89 out of 200. This indicates that all such candidates who have scored above 89 can be called for the personal interview
For example: If a candidate has scored 125 out of 200 in common written exam and 70 out of 100 in interview round. So the final cutoff will be combination of both these scores.
125 x 0.4 (weightage given to written exam) =50
100 x 0.2 (weightage given to interview) =12
Overall cutoff score in this case will be 62
|Sectional Cutoff||Minimum marks to be scored in each section|
|Overall Cut-Off||Total marks which can ascertain a candidate’s selection in interview round|
|Final Cut Off||Combination of common written exam score and interview score|
*Note- Cutoff score varies for all categories (General,OBC,SC,ST)
